Adjunct Faculty Online Orientation
Texas Woman's University
Welcome!
I am pleased to join your Deans, Department Chairs and Program coordinators in officially welcoming you to Texas Woman’s University. TWU provides a unique teaching and learning environment for faculty and students alike. We hope that you are challenged and energized by your work at our university.
As new faculty, you may have questions and concerns. We hope that this online orientation will address many of those questions as well as provide some sense of the opportunities and resources available to faculty who teach at TWU. If questions remain, please forward them first to your department chair/associate dean, or program coordinator. If s/he is unable to assist you, we have provided links to university resources throughout this document.
Sincerely,
Kay Clayton, Ph.D.
Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs

Under Info for All Adjunct Faculty I read "After you have been notified of employment, adjunct instructors are required to complete personnel forms (I-9, W-4, etc.) available from the Human Resources office. These forms must be completed prior to the beginning of the semester in which you are teaching." I have taught every semester since I first began an an Adjunct. I have filled out the information once, but I have not completed a form prior to the beginning of the semester in which I am teaching since that first time. Should I have been doing this? I am thinking this is probably for first time adjuncts or maybe where there has been an interim when one has not taught continuously. I'll check with the Administrative Department in which I teach.
